A collection of operations orders, training packages, and reference materials for Army National Guard tactical training. Originally developed for OCS field training exercises at Camp Blanding, these materials support squad and platoon-level TLP training, STX evaluation lanes, and company-level staff exercises.

STX Evaluation Lanes
Default to the Detailed version. These are the OPORDs you hand candidates for normal TLP training — they include specific grids, movement directions, team-level assignments, and sequencing so squad leaders can plan against a school solution.
Mission Command versions (for advanced iterations only) are listed separately at the bottom of this section. Do not use them by default — they strip scaffolding and are only appropriate for later iterations with strong candidates who have already planned the same mission multiple times.
CRAWL Phase Training
OPORDs used as classroom walkthroughs for the CRAWL phase of TLP training. Instructors pause after each paragraph to discuss information extraction. These missions can also be run as evaluated lanes — they are listed again in the tables below when applicable.
| # | Mission | Description | OPORD |
|---|---|---|---|
| 014 | Deliberate Attack on Enemy CP | Step-by-step TLP practical exercise walking candidates through each paragraph of the OPORD. Pairs with the TLP Slides. Also available as an evaluated lane below. | walkthrough · OPORD · kml |
Evaluated Missions (Wooded Terrain)
| # | Mission | Complexity | Description | OPORD | OPFOR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 001 | Ambush at Crossroads | Moderate | Hasty ambush on a REAPER convoy at a road junction. Assault, support-by-fire, and security elements. | view · kml | card |
| 002 | Movement to Contact | Moderate | Advance to locate and engage REAPER forces. Lead, overwatch, and reserve elements with progressive commitment. | view · kml | card |
| 003 | Raid on Bunker | Higher | Raid a fortified REAPER bunker position. Assault, SBF, and security with breach and withdrawal. | view · kml | card |

MOUT Training Scenarios
| # | Mission | Complexity | Description | OPORD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 004 | Clear Dismount City | Highest | Clear, seize, and secure urban terrain (OBJ FLUNKER). Building-by-building clearing with assault, support, and security elements. | view · kml |
Static Operations
| # | Mission | Complexity | Description | OPORD |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Supporting Tasks
Movement and coordination tasks used to position a force for a subsequent operation, not missions in their own right. Use these only as supplements to the real lanes when cadre specifically want to train these tasks — they are generally better suited to multi-unit exercises like the FLX.
| # | Task | Description | OPORD |
|---|---|---|---|
| 009 | Tactical Road March | Tactical movement from assembly area to release point. Point security, main body, and rear security. | view · kml |
| 007 | Forward Passage of Lines | Pass through friendly defensive positions to continue offensive operations. Inter-unit coordination and fratricide prevention. | view · kml |
DSCA Operations (Hurricane Response)
These OPORDs support TLP planning exercises focused on Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations. Set during a fictional Hurricane DELTA response in Florida, they introduce leaders to real-world National Guard domestic operations including convoy movements, reconnaissance, and humanitarian assistance. These are planning exercises only — leaders develop orders but do not execute.
| # | Mission | Description | Formats |
|---|---|---|---|
| 010 | Hurricane Relief Convoy | DSCA convoy operations through damaged infrastructure to deliver relief supplies. | view · kml |
| 011 | Mounted Area Reconnaissance | DSCA mounted reconnaissance to assess infrastructure damage and route conditions. | view · kml |
| 012 | Point of Distribution Operations | DSCA humanitarian distribution operations with civilian interface management. | view · kml |
Mission Command Versions (advanced iterations only)
⚠ Do not use these by default. Mission Command versions strip out specific grids, movement directions, and team-level assignments. They are only for advanced iterations with strong candidates who have already planned the same mission multiple times with the Detailed version. For normal TLP training, use the Detailed OPORDs linked above.

Inject Card System
To keep iterations fresh during multiple training runs, use the inject card system:
- Inject Cards User Guide - How to use the inject card system
- Situation Update Cards - Intelligence and situation updates (10 cards)
- Enemy Behavior Cards - REAPER action variations (10 cards)
- Friendly Force Status Cards - Friendly unit condition changes (10 cards)
- Weather/Terrain Cards - Environmental condition variations (10 cards)
- Civilian Scenario Cards - ROE and decision-making challenges (10 cards)
- Timeline Pressure Cards - Time constraint variations (10 cards)
Quick Start: Select 1-3 inject cards from different categories per iteration to create unique scenarios without needing new OPORDs.
Field Leadership Exercise (FLX)
The FLX is a multi-day company-level staff exercise where candidates plan and execute a series of tactical operations under a single operational framework. FLX materials — including the cadre brief, company staff guide, and sequential operation orders — are available to cadre separately.
